The Art of Targeted Release

Focused work for the tension that gets in your way.

When a tight back, loaded shoulders or persistent muscular discomfort keeps asking for attention, a general relaxation massage may not be the experience you want. Release makes your specific concern the centre of the session: considered remedial work, a clear treatment focus and pressure that responds to you.

What you are choosing

Targeted & Remedial Massage

Release is targeted and remedial massage, not simply a harder full-body treatment. We discuss what is bothering you and work through relevant muscles and nearby areas rather than apply the same routine to everyone. Deep tissue, trigger point and myofascial techniques are tools we may use—not a requirement to make the session painful.

How the session feels

Expect slower, more deliberate contact and time spent on the areas you have agreed to address. Warming strokes can lead into focused muscle work, with comfortable positioning and regular feedback. Some areas may need deeper pressure; others respond better to gentler contact. You can change the pressure or stop at any time.

What we work towards

Care with a clear purpose.

  • Work towards greater muscular comfort
  • Address the tension that makes ordinary movement feel restricted
  • Leave with a clearer understanding of your treatment focus and sensible next steps

These are treatment goals, not guaranteed results. Your response depends on your circumstances and what is suitable for you.

Before you choose

A little clarity.

Does remedial massage need to hurt?

No. Pressure is a tool, not a test. We build contact gradually, listen to your feedback and change the approach if it becomes sharp or uncomfortable.

Will the whole session focus on one area?

The concern guides the session, but nearby muscles can be included when relevant and agreed. A longer appointment gives us more time for broader work; it does not mean a fixed full-body routine.

Can I book if I have pain or an injury?

Suitability depends on your symptoms and circumstances. New, severe, unexplained or worsening pain and recent injuries should be assessed by an appropriate health professional first. Massage does not diagnose or guarantee recovery.
